School DX: Digital Signage Integration Platform
奧村 魁斗

This project is a School DX (Digital Transformation) initiative based on the concept that won the Grand Prize at the Digitech Quest, hosted by Walker, Inc. (株式会社ウォーカー). It is being carried out in collaboration with multiple partner companies and educational institutions.
Partners (in no particular order)
- 株式会社ウォーカー (Walker, Inc.)
- 株式会社NTTドコモ (NTT docomo, Inc.)
- 株式会社岐阜文芸社 (Gifu Bungeisha Co., Ltd.)
- 岐南工業高等学校 (Ginan Technical High School) — Cooperation
Purpose and Challenges
In traditional school operations, announcements to students and faculty — such as class cancellations, event schedules, and club activity updates — were primarily communicated through paper postings on bulletin boards or verbal announcements during morning meetings. This approach led to delays in information delivery and important notices being easily overlooked.
Furthermore, students at technical high schools often enter the job market without having sufficient access to information about local companies. Companies, in turn, struggle to secure talented candidates.
Our Solution
To address these challenges, we are developing and deploying a platform that centralizes school information and delivers it in real time through digital signage (electronic displays).
With the cooperation of 岐南工業高等学校 (Ginan Technical High School), we are gathering insights from the actual educational environment and building a system that displays the following types of information on displays throughout the school at optimal times:
- Emergency Notices and Class Cancellations — Instant broadcast to all classrooms
- Schedule Changes — Real-time updates to prevent confusion
- Career and Employment Information — Daily promotion of local company opportunities
- School Events and Club Activities — Visualized schedules
Value of This Project
This initiative goes beyond simply digitizing information delivery. As a platform connecting schools, students, and local businesses, it provides the following value:
- For schools: Streamlined administration and reduced workload for faculty
- For students: An environment where they receive all necessary information without gaps, and natural touchpoints with local companies
- For companies: An effective channel for reaching future job candidates
In the future, integration with student smartphone apps and use as emergency information infrastructure during disasters will contribute to a fundamental improvement in school operations and the realization of a smarter campus experience.
